The Israeli military said on Friday that it carried out strikes in southern Lebanon after Hezbollah launched a drone attack targeting Israeli soldiers.
Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon killed three people and wounded 23 others, including medics as well as women and children.
The Israeli military also carried out strikes against multiple targets across southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency.
Hezbollah did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the Israeli strikes.
The latest escalation comes amid continued tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border. Since March 2, Israeli strikes have killed more than 4,300 people in Lebanon, according to Lebanese authorities.
