A Houthi drone attack in Yemen’s Marib province killed three members of the government forces and wounded four others on Friday, according to a Yemeni military source cited by AFP.
The source said the casualties occurred in the Harib area, south of Marib, adding that the toll was preliminary.
Earlier the same day, Yemeni sources told Al Arabiya English that Houthi missile strikes targeted a camp for displaced people on the outskirts of Marib, killing two civilians and injuring 14 others, according to medical sources.
The sources also reported that the Iran-backed Houthi group launched missiles from Sanaa shortly before the strike.
Meanwhile, Yemeni state television reported that the country’s air defenses intercepted and downed several Houthi drones launched toward Marib.
The attacks come amid heightened tensions in the province, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced people and has remained a key flashpoint in Yemen’s ongoing conflict.
