Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out early Sunday at a facility at Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Energy Ministry said, adding that no injuries were reported.
The ministry said on X that Aramco’s industrial security teams had brought the fire under control, while the relevant authorities were completing procedures to address the incident.
Jazan is located on the Red Sea near Saudi Arabia’s border with Yemen.
The Jazan refinery has a processing capacity of 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces refined petroleum products, including gasoline and ultra-low-sulfur diesel.
