Israel’s National Security Council has updated its travel warnings for Israeli citizens ahead of the upcoming Jewish holiday season, urging them to avoid traveling to or staying in several Arab and Muslim-majority countries amid continued security tensions across the region.
Egypt, Jordan and Qatar, including the Sinai Peninsula, as well as Somalia, have been placed under Level 4, the highest category in Israel’s travel warning system. Israeli citizens have been urged not to travel to these destinations and to leave immediately if they are already there.
The updated list also includes Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya and Algeria, with Israeli citizens advised to avoid traveling to these countries.
The National Security Council also warned of potential risks in several countries surrounding Iran, including Turkey, Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates, citing concerns over activities by groups it described as linked to Tehran or its regional allies.
According to the council, the latest security assessments reflect ongoing regional tensions and continued threats targeting Israelis and Jewish communities abroad. It urged Israeli citizens traveling overseas to closely monitor updated travel advisories and comply with instructions and assessments issued by Israeli security authorities.
The warnings come ahead of the Jewish holiday season, which typically sees an increase in international travel, as security tensions across the region continue to affect tourism and cross-border movement.
