Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi said the “Dawn of Yemen” operation represents a new phase in efforts to restore state institutions, complete the liberation of Yemeni territory, and ultimately reach the capital, Sanaa.
Al-Alimi Praises Yemeni Forces
Al-Alimi praised the Yemeni armed forces, security agencies, military formations, and popular resistance, commending the sacrifices of those killed and wounded in battles aimed at restoring state institutions and extending government control across the country.
He also expressed appreciation for the support provided by Saudi Arabia to the Presidential Leadership Council, the Yemeni government, and the Yemeni people. He praised Riyadh’s backing of the Yemeni armed forces in what he described as the battle to restore state institutions, security, and stability.
Al-Alimi also welcomed Saudi directives aimed at regularizing the status of Yemenis residing in the Kingdom without legal residency.
Call for Greater Domestic Unity
The Yemeni leader stressed the importance of strengthening political, popular, and media cohesion while confronting what he described as misleading information.
He called on political parties, forces, and various national components to strengthen their presence across the governorates and increase communication with local communities during the current phase.
Safe Return and Amnesty Initiative
Al-Alimi reaffirmed the continuation of the “Safe Return and Amnesty” initiative for individuals who abandon their weapons and distance themselves from armed groups, provided they have not been involved in crimes excluded from the initiative.
He said temporary developments and complications on the ground would not alter the declared objective of restoring Sanaa and extending state control over the entirety of Yemeni territory.
Al-Alimi: ‘Dawn of Yemen’ Is a Promise to End the War
Al-Alimi concluded by emphasizing that the “Dawn of Yemen” operation is not merely the name of a military operation, but, in his words, represents a promise to end the war, establish a state, and restore Yemenis’ republic and future.
