Ukraine’s embassy in Washington announced Friday that it had resumed operations after a brief disruption caused by the discovery of a suspicious object that US law enforcement examined and determined posed no threat.
Law enforcement officers and a bomb squad were called in to assess the object, which was found near the entrance to the embassy’s consular section, prompting a temporary evacuation of the premises.
In a statement, the embassy said the area around the diplomatic mission had reopened after authorities gave the all-clear, with consular services expected to resume shortly.
