Recent satellite imagery has revealed renewed activity at the heavily fortified “Minzadayi” site east of the Iranian capital, Tehran, months after it was targeted by an Israeli strike during the latest war.
The Israeli military said in March 2026 that the site had been used for research and development of components linked to nuclear weapons, including a group of nuclear scientists allegedly working there in secret.
According to the Israeli military, activities at the site included efforts related to the production of uranium-enriched cores, as well as explosive materials associated with nuclear weapons development.
Recent satellite images captured during September and October 2026 show the return of regular vehicle movements around the complex, alongside extensive efforts to clear rubble and debris and repair damage to the hillside.
Israel reportedly targeted the site on March 3, 2026, destroying several buildings and facilities, some of which are believed to have been located underground.
The latest assessments suggest that the renewed activity could indicate Iranian efforts to restore capabilities lost during the attack, amid continuing rehabilitation and reconstruction work at the complex.
However, the new activity may also indicate that restoring operations at the site has become a priority for Iran. Satellite imagery alone, however, cannot confirm the nature of the activities currently taking place inside the facility.
