
The UK Maritime Trade Operations center received a report of explosions near an oil tanker approximately 60 nautical miles, or around 111 kilometers, south of the Yemeni city of Mocha.
According to the center, the tanker’s security officer reported several explosions in the immediate vicinity of the vessel, while confirming that all crew members were safe and unharmed.
The center also said there were no reported adverse effects or damage to the marine environment as a result of the incident.
Following the incident, the UK Maritime Trade Operations center issued an alert to vessels operating in the area, urging them to exercise the highest level of caution while navigating the waters.
