Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev discussed cooperation between Moscow and Washington and the Ukraine crisis with US envoy Steve Witkoff and presidential adviser Jared Kushner, CNN reported.
The talks come as the United States seeks to revive diplomatic efforts to mediate the Ukraine crisis following a series of meetings between Russian and American officials in recent months.
Witkoff and Kushner traveled to Moscow on September 5, where they met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The following day, they traveled to Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The meetings were followed by continued contacts between Moscow and Washington over possible approaches to the Ukraine crisis, as diplomatic efforts continue to explore potential paths toward a settlement.
