The Israeli military said on Tuesday that it had no involvement in reported US strikes on an Iranian island, despite recent threats by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resume military operations against Tehran.
Asked whether Israel had taken part in the reported covert attacks on Qeshm Island, located in the Strait of Hormuz, an Israeli military spokesperson told Agence France-Presse (AFP): “No.”
The statement comes after US media reports said Washington had carried out strikes on the strategic Iranian island.
