The official spokesman for Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense on Friday said the Kingdom has intercepted and destroyed a drone northeast of Riyadh.
The latest interception comes hours after the defense ministry said it intercepted three drones east of the capital.
“Three drones were intercepted and destroyed east of Riyadh,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said of the thwarted attacks on X.
The Saudi defense ministry also announced earlier that four Iranian missiles and one drone that were launched toward the al-Kharj governorate were destroyed.
According to SPA, the Saudi defenses have demonstrated remarkable efficiency in countering the threats posed by escalating Iranian attacks as they defend the Kingdom’s sovereignty and security, and continue to protect Saudi Arabia’s holy sites, infrastructure and resources.
