Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony in his corruption trial, scheduled for Monday, was canceled after the court received an overnight update from his lawyer, Israeli media reported.
The hearing will not take place “following an update received from attorney Amit Hadad during the night,” i24 News reported, citing a court statement. No further details were immediately provided.
Netanyahu last appeared before the Tel Aviv District Court on April 28, marking his first court appearance since the start of the US-Israeli war with Iran on February 28.
He faces charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three cases dating back to indictments filed in 2019.
The proceedings have faced repeated delays, including disruptions linked to Israel’s war in Gaza since October 2023, as well as its conflicts with Hezbollah in Lebanon and Iran.
Critics have accused Netanyahu of prolonging regional conflicts to delay legal proceedings.
