
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that “all diplomatic resources” must be utilized to end the war in Ukraine with a fair and lasting peace, his office said on Sunday, as countries discussed a draft US plan to end the war.
NATO member Turkey has maintained cordial ties between Kyiv and Moscow during the war, providing military help to Ukraine but refusing to join Western sanctions on Moscow. It has hosted three rounds of peace talks between the parties and offered to host a leaders’ meeting.
